3D Outsourcing
Our 3D Metal Powder Services help you connect to various 3D printing labs to print design models by various types of 3D printers such as SLS, FDM, etc. Feel free to contact us.
3D printing
The creation of a 3D printed object is achieved using additive processes. In an additive process an object is created by laying down successive layers of material until the object is created. Each of these layers can be seen as a thinly sliced cross-section of the object
3D printing is the opposite of subtractive manufacturing which is cutting out / hollowing out a piece of metal or plastic with for instance a milling machine.
3D printing enables you to produce complex shapes using less material than traditional manufacturing methods.
Here are some things that 3D metal powder services may be able to help you with:
- 3D printing parameter optimization;
- 3D powder materials characterization – In collaboration with local universities, we offer material characterization services of ICP-MS, XRD, XPS, SEM/TEM, EDX, Particle Size;
- Distribution analysis, surface area, etc.…
- Materials Safety Data Sheet Preparation (SDS).
Tech Resources
3D powder printing has application in the fashion jewelry industry, 3DEnginEarrings is an example. Here are some advanced 3D printing centers of local universities to find more resources:
- Multi-scale additive manufacturing laboratory (MSAM) – University of Waterloo
- Additive Manufacturing Innovation Centre — Mohawk College
- McMaster 3D printing – McMaster University
